Our five year old and three year old have gotten a lot of mileage out of the tag since we bought it. The books seem to get a little old after awhile but the animal cards have kept them rolling. One of the best features to the cards are the animal sounds. They love to tap the card with the monkeys… over and over and over again. Not recommended for parents that find repetitive sounds annoying. For me it’s great, anything that keeps them occupied for 15 minutes is good in my book.

My girls love animals and learning about them. This is so much fun for them and they play with it all day long. It has several pages and on each one are two pages on each type of animal. one side gives a picture of the animal with the name and the other page gives a couple facts and where the animal lives and if it is endangered or not. It also tells if it is a reptile or Amphibian, ect. Very informative.

This is another something different from the books and so educational even for adults. These Activity Cards are tab together so you don’t have to worry about picking up all the cards all the time.

    Great Gift Idea!

Leapfrog needs to come out with something NUMBERS to go with this Tag System!

My four-year-old son loves animals. I thought that this Tag toy might be his favorite (probably behind the T Rex book). I have been surprised to see that he is not really that drawn to it. If I get it out, he is happy to learn about the animals, but it is rarely his idea. (He likes Ben 10 and the Pirate books significantly better.)

The cards are heavy duty (thicker than card stock). They are bound together very securely. As a result, even my son cannot harm this toy!

Each animal has two sides of a card. One side has the animal making its noise. (This was the most interesting part for me, as I had never known the sounds of many of the animals. For example — do you know what a panda bear sounds like??) The other card contains a few intersting tidbits about the animal. It also states whether it is a mammal, reptile, bird, etc., and whether or not it is endangered.

This product is not nearly as entertaining or educational as the Leapster game Animal Genius. (Animal Genius is one of the best Leapster cartridges.) These cards contain a lot less information, and they are not in a game format. That being said, it is a pleasant and educational Tag product.

My son loves animals. So this is a great addition to our Tag collection. I love the fact that everything is kept together nicely, and both sides of the cards have fun facts and information! I love the fact that the information is different than what is “commonly” known. Plus, they are soooo durable! My son has tried to bend them, and it’s didn’t work! Score for Leapfrog!!
