My boys love to look at and play with locks on doors, door knobs, the buckles on their car seat, highchairs, door knobs, anything that opens, closes...etc any ideas of where I could find something like that? I am having no luck.

Toys R Us has different things such as this stuffed animal with zippers, buttons, etc… on it that they can fasten and un-do. There are also some different toys with gears made for their age group. Go to http://www.toysrus.com and see what comes up! Another great store for educational items is Learning Express. I also get some educational items from http://www.hearthsong.com They have some really neat, unique items for kids.
Sometimes the best toy isn’t truly a toy. So perhaps you could by a zipper and a lock and make your own fun thing for them.
I remember seeing the coolest toy it had 10 – 15 different kinds of locks all on one toy I think it was at target.
